XXL Sales OS

The network model

The network, the way trade really works.

At the heart of XXL Sales OS lies a model that maps the trade chain between companies precisely: who the players are, who sells to whom, at what price and on what terms – and how products, knowledge and money reach every point in the chain.

IThe levels

Five levels, two parallel branches, unlimited partners.

At the top of the network stands the network owner – the manufacturer or brand owner. Below it come the distributors, then, on the same level but on two parallel branches, the resellers and the system integrators, followed by the sales agents, with the end customers at the end of the chain. Any number of partners can work at each level, across as many countries as needed.

  1. 01 Network owner manufacturer · brand owner
  2. 02 Distributor national wholesaler
  3. 03 Reseller · integrator two parallel branches
  4. 04 Sales agent in the field
  5. 05 End customer with their own portal

Who can create whom?

The rules for building the network live in the database, not in the program code. A new level or a new rule can therefore be introduced without any development work.

  • Distributor distributors, resellers, integrators and sales agents
  • Reseller resellers and sales agents
  • System integrator system integrators and sales agents
  • Reseller and integrator are two branches on the same level – neither can create the other.

IIProduct takeover

A product moves from level to level – and changes hands at each one.

A product is only ever visible to the level directly below its owner, never to the whole network. The partner below “takes it over”: the product becomes their own copy, with its own owner and its own price – while the link to the original remains.

  • Everything comes across

On takeover, translations, images, pack sizes, currencies, payment methods and SLA levels are copied too – and the new owner can then edit them freely.

  • The product family stays together

Training content, exams, fault tickets and SLAs follow the entire product family – even if a partner has renamed their own copy.

  • It can travel upwards, too

When a partner with upload rights adds a product of its own, it can appear at its superior’s level as well – all the way up to the network owner.

IIIResale rules

The product’s owner decides how much the chain may change it.

  1. Commission only

The partner below sells for commission. They may not give the product their own name or their own price.

  2. Shared

Price, VAT, payment method and schedule, minimum order quantity, stock lock and commission can be modified.

  3. Full re-parameterisation

Name, description, SKU, price – everything. The partner can carry it forward as their own product.

Hierarchy lock

If anyone higher up the chain switches off onward sale, it stays switched off for everyone below. The stricter rule always prevails – and cannot be circumvented.

Upload scope

  1. Own Only your own warehouse and your own webshop.
  2. Direct Direct partners may buy it, but not pass it on.
  3. Network The entire network – upwards, too.

Changing the scope also applies to products already uploaded. The editor shows in advance how many products and how many partners are affected.

IVMargin and commission

Everyone earns from their own work.

The levels above the sales agent earn from their own margin: they buy for less and sell for more. The sales agent sells at the price set by their superior and earns commission – a percentage of the net line value and/or a fixed amount per unit. Referral commission, meanwhile, flows through the network: whoever brought in a partner shares in that partner’s purchases too.

The ground rule is simple: commission is always paid by the seller.

A product’s journey through the chain Illustrative example

  1. Network owner 100 list price to the distributor
  2. Distributor 120 +20 margin
  3. Reseller 150 +30 margin
  4. Sales agent 8% commission on the net line value

Settled weekly, fortnightly or monthly – by a single, append-only commission engine in which nothing can be rewritten afterwards.

Prices that adapt to each level

  • Level-based prices from discount schemes – the company’s first, then the global one
  • Volume price tiers
  • Customer-specific individual prices
  • “How my partner sees it” preview for every customer type: product card, net, VAT, gross and the next price tier

VCollaboration, not competition

The network knows its partners may also be competitors.

  • Lead protection

A prospect – identified by tax number, email address or company name – can be protected by only one partner at a time. Search first, then reserve; approved protection lasts for months, can be extended, and sends a reminder before it expires.

  • Messaging that follows the hierarchy

Everyone can write to their own company, their direct superior and their direct partners. Anyone else only after an accepted invitation – because two resellers under the same distributor are competitors.

  • Content that grows with the network

Documents, questionnaires and quote request forms can be shared with own, direct or network scope – partners who join later receive them retroactively, and nothing ever appears twice.

VITransparency

See your marketplace through your partners’ eyes.

The “How my partners see it” view shows, level by level, exactly what a distributor, a reseller or a sales agent sees in the marketplace – using the same query and the same pricing as the live marketplace. Which is why it cannot differ from reality.
